| About Me | Dr Timothy Stewart, a dedicated and experienced dentist, has been serving the Richmond community since 2002. Born and raised in the south side of Richmond, Dr. Stewart’s strong connection to his hometown has shaped his commitment to providing exceptional dental care to his patients. Education and Experience After completing his high school education at Trinity Episcopal High School, Dr. Stewart pursued his undergraduate degree at the University of Richmond. His passion for dentistry took him to Gainesville, Florida, where he studied at the College of Dentistry at the University of Florida. Upon graduation, Dr. Stewart returned to Richmond, where he continues to practice today. Dr. Stewart is a strong advocate for continuing education and has expanded his expertise in various dental fields. In 2008, he became certified in Invisalign dentistry, providing a non-invasive orthodontic solution for busy adults. Additionally, Dr. Stewart’s interest in the connection between oral health and overall well-being led him to study dental sleep medicine, which has resulted in a collaboration with a local physician specializing in sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. Professional Affiliations and Community Involvement Dr. Stewart is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Virginia Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. His commitment to giving back to the community is evident through his volunteer work with CARITAS and the Mechanicsville Free Dental Clinic. Furthermore, Dr. Stewart supports his daughters’ activities and various student initiatives at Hermitage High School. In the past, Dr. Stewart has participated in fundraising efforts for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and various children’s charities by subjecting himself to “jail time” and growing a mustache (much to his wife’s chagrin). Practice Ownership and Commitment In 2020, Dr. Stewart became the sole owner of the practice following Dr. McComb’s retirement. He remains dedicated to upholding the high standards for which the practice is known, while staying current with medical advancements and maintaining valuable relationships with his patients and staff.
