Morrilton college becomes 14th campus in opioid initiative
UACCM joined One Pill Can Kill as its 14th Arkansas college campus. Student leaders received training on illicit opioids, overdose signs and naloxone use.
The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton joined the One Pill Can Kill campus initiative on Oct. 19, 2026, becoming its 14th Arkansas college campus and third community college to participate, the Arkansas attorney general’s office said.
Attorney General Tim Griffin and UACCM Chancellor Lisa Willenberg launched the initiative at the Morrilton campus. The office said student leaders then received training on illicit opioids, recognizing overdose signs and using naloxone.
The office reported that more than 2,700 students had been trained through the initiative since it began in 2024. That is a cumulative program figure, not a count of UACCM trainees; the announcement did not state how many student leaders attended.
Willenberg said the college was grateful to be included and that the program could help prevent overdoses. She described overdose prevention as a potential benefit; the announcement reported training, not a campus-level outcome.
