Mobile Mammogram Returns to East Arlington; County Clinics Continue Walk-In Immunizations
Arlington, TX – March 7, 2026 – A mobile mammogram stop is scheduled in East Arlington as county clinics continue walk-in immunizations for residents.
A new round of preventive care access is headed to Arlington, with Texas Health Resources scheduling a mobile mammography stop in East Arlington while Tarrant County continues offering walk-in immunization services for residents.
Mobile Mammogram Stop Set for March 10
Texas Health’s Mobile Health unit lists an upcoming public-access screening mammogram event in Arlington on March 10 at Canales Furniture on East Abram Street. The mobile program is designed to bring breast cancer screening closer to neighborhoods, helping reduce transportation and scheduling barriers.
According to Texas Health, appointments can be scheduled in advance by phone, and walk-ins may be accepted depending on capacity. Mobile screening events are intended for routine preventive care and are part of the health system’s broader community outreach across North Texas.
Residents planning to attend are encouraged to confirm eligibility requirements and any documentation needed before arrival.
Immunization Clinics Remain Walk-In Only
Tarrant County Public Health continues to operate its immunization clinics under a walk-in-only policy that has been in place countywide since August 2025. In Arlington, residents can access vaccines at the county clinic on South Cooper Street.
County health officials have previously directed residents seeking measles-mumps-rubella vaccinations and other routine immunizations to use these clinics, particularly during periods of heightened attention to vaccine-preventable illnesses in Texas.
The county also notes that clinic staff and contact tracers do not request Social Security numbers or bank information when reaching out about reportable illnesses, and questions about insurance status are focused on helping connect individuals to testing or care when needed.
Insurance Landscape for 2026 Plans
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas previously announced continued availability of Affordable Care Act marketplace plans statewide for the 2026 plan year, including HMO and POS options. The insurer also outlined added telehealth features for 2026 marketplace products.
Open enrollment for individual and family marketplace plans closed January 15, 2026. Residents with qualifying life events may still be eligible for special enrollment periods, depending on their circumstances.
