INTEGRIS Health, UnitedHealthcare Reach Last-Minute Deal to Keep Coverage In-Network
Oklahoma City, OK – March 10, 2026 – INTEGRIS Health and UnitedHealthcare reached a late agreement, preventing thousands of OKC patients from losing in-network access.
A late-night agreement between INTEGRIS Health and UnitedHealthcare has prevented a potential disruption in coverage for thousands of Oklahoma City patients. The deal was announced Monday evening, just hours before a contract extension was set to expire.
In-Network Access Will Continue
The agreement means UnitedHealthcare members will continue to be treated as in-network at INTEGRIS facilities across the Oklahoma City area. Without a deal, patients insured through UnitedHealthcare could have faced higher out-of-pocket costs or been required to seek care outside the INTEGRIS system beginning March 10.
The two sides had been operating under a 30-day extension after an earlier contract deadline passed in early February. That extension was set to expire Monday.
Dispute Centered on Payment Rates
During negotiations, UnitedHealthcare stated that INTEGRIS Health was seeking payment increases of more than 20 percent, which the insurer said would make the system the most expensive in its commercial network in Oklahoma City. INTEGRIS had warned that failure to reach an agreement could interrupt continuity of care for patients.
The newly announced deal avoids an immediate coverage change. Neither party publicly detailed the financial terms of the agreement as of Tuesday morning.
What Residents Should Know
UnitedHealthcare members receiving care through INTEGRIS hospitals, clinics, and specialists in the Oklahoma City metro remain in-network under the new agreement.
Patients with upcoming appointments are encouraged to review communications from their insurer or provider and confirm coverage details through official member services channels if they have questions about specific plans.
Coverage rules can vary by employer-sponsored plan, Medicare Advantage plan, or individual policy, so residents should rely on their own plan documents for confirmation.
If you have urgent symptoms, seek medical care. For general questions, talk with a licensed clinician.
