All Dental Lab in Chicago

A dental lab, also known as a dental laboratory, is a facility where dental prosthetics and restorations are fabricated. These prosthetics and restorations include items such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and other oral appliances. The dental lab typically receives orders for prosthetics and restorations from a dentist, who has made an impression of the patient’s teeth and provided instructions for the fabrication of the device.

Dental labs use a variety of materials to fabricate dental prosthetics and restorations, such as ceramics, metals, and acrylic resins. The technicians at a dental lab have specialized training and skills to work with these materials and to create custom devices that fit the specific needs of each patient. They use precision tools and machinery to create the prosthetic or restoration, and may use computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) technology to create accurate and precise dental devices.

Once the prosthetic or restoration is complete, it is sent back to the dentist’s office for fitting and installation. Dental labs play a critical role in the provision of high-quality dental care, as the devices they produce are an essential component of many dental treatments. By using specialized equipment and materials, dental labs can create prosthetics and restorations that are durable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.
